Video – south of France/Italian Rivera RAAM 015 training camp
A couple weeks ago, I had another “hell week” training camp for RAAM 015.
Since my weakness is climbing, Marko organized for me to do a 10 day training camp in the mountains of the south of France and Italian Riviera.
I have a house in La Turbie, France the village directly above Monaco, so we used my home as the base camp.
The camp was organized to begin a Thursday and finish 10 days later … I had to take a week off work to make this happen.
I love Emirates Airlines … and one of the reasons I moved my base from Monaco to Dubai is because of the exceptional convenience and ease of direct flight travel from Dubai to just about everywhere in the world.…But when I arrived to Nice, I discovered my bike did not make the flight, and I had to wait until the following day to get my bike. Because of this, I lost a day of training, but Marko still packed in the same amount of climbing meters into the camp as scheduled.
The next day the plane arrived; I quickly got my bike, Marko set it up and my camp began.
Marko and Matic were once again a great crew, and thanks to them I had such a successful training camp.
Unfortunately, Marko was sick nearly the entire camp, but still followed me to ensure my “hell week” went well.
This is a short video showing the beauty of the south of France and Italian Rivera.
(thank you Denis Rautovic for the cool video)
