3rd and final naseba7 test week
Today begins my 3rd and final naseba7 test week.
Starting today, for the next 7 days I will be in the emirate of Fujairah doing a practice run of my naseba7 challenge.
The first test was at the end of July: For 7 consecutive days (depending on the day) I did a 4,000 meter swim, 40/60km bike and 10/15/20km run
The second test was at the end of August: For 7 consecutive days (depending on the day) I did a 4,000 meter swim, 120/140/150km bike and 20/30/40km run
And starting today, October 28th for 7 consecutive days I will do a 4,000 meter swim, 160km bike and 20/30/40km run
The purpose of this week is to do a practice of what the challenge week will be like, and ensure mentally I am fully prepared.
My coach, Mario Huys and I are staying at a hotel and he wants me focused only on my training – no mobile phone and no working, thus no internet.
He allows me to use the internet only early in the morning over my coffee and breakfast, but I will try to post daily updates in the training section of the blog, and how this week goes — this blog helps me stay focused.
Less than 1 month away from the actual challenge.
I was very confident after my training in Austria, but after being back in Dubai and training, I understand the actual challenge is going to be a whole other kind of adventure — the heat, the traffic, the sea….
but i have to make it happen.
