Woke at 7:30
Today is my day off training (I have not much choice because we are driving for most of the day)
We picked up giovanna and we left at lunch time on our way to Brittany.
Breakfast: two pieces of white toast and coffee
Lunch: At a * michilen near Argenton, France
small portion of canalope
a piece of bread (white)
small piece of meat with foie gras
a bite of mille feuilles
although my portion was very small, probably wasnt the ideal ironman training meal.
15:00 snack: powerade drink; 1.5 liter of evian and 2 oranges
Dinner: restaurant in Vendèe, France (famous for the vendèe globe sailing race)
piece of bread
small portion of white fish with mushrooms
2 glasses of red wine, from the region
fruit salad and a few bites of sophies cheese plate.
Today was the first day I have not exercised for a few weeks and I felt lethargic and tired all day.
My diet was not very good today – My triathlon coach called me and told me that my diet the past week or so which I have journaled is not good – and he said he is sending me through suggestions for my diet.
Tomorrow I will go for a 18km run in the morning and scheduled to do a long swim in the afternoon. The atlantic is very cold and strong current so it will be a fun swim
Total training time: day off

Hi Scott, I read about your diet. I miss vitamines and mineral nutrients such as fruits and vegetables. Wholemeal is much better than the fast carbohydrates (superfine flour, sugar….) The more valuable you eat, the better you will feel. Tomorrow you will get some tips…
