woke at 5:00 (slept 2 hour past my alarm)
5:30 – 6:30: 60 minute CROSS TRAINER (level 15 out of 25)
8:00 – 11:00: 3 hour SWIM open water
Comments: today was the first day where I really felt tired in the water. I swam to Italy and back (it looks so far on land, but it took me only about 90 minutes to swim from Cap Martin to Italy … and 95 minutes to swim back.
My shoulders were tired. I practiced swimming and pissing at the same time – successfully! (the photo below, I swam from top of Cap Martin, land jetting out in bottom of photo below to the tip of italy which is at the top of the photo to the tip to right – it took 90 minutes to get there and 95 minutes to get back. Coming back the water was much rougher than in this photo. I swam very far out and had to watch out for boats)
I did 60 minutes cross trainer before — my heart rate was only around 120-123 bpm on the cross trainer.
I am on a few days vacation from work so can train a bit more.
I have a 8 hour swim scheduled saturday.
